Moving to Puglia, Italy
Relocation support, legal guidance and
practical next steps
A clear, structured approach for those seriously considering relocating to southern Italy.
If you’re considering moving to Puglia, you’re likely at the point
where Italy has gone from an idea to something more practical.
You’re no longer just asking where —
you’re trying to understand how this actually works.
That’s where most people get stuck.
About Us
Ciao, I’m Stef,
I moved to Italy just after turning 40 — on my own, and with a lot of the same questions most people have when they start thinking about doing this properly.
What began as a personal decision quickly became a process I had to figure out in detail; from legal pathways through to how life actually works once you arrive.
Now, I work with English speakers navigating that same move, helping them understand what’s involved, what applies to them, and how to approach it in a way that makes sense from the start.
Alongside me is Valentina, my Italian citizenship lawyer, who manages the legal side of the process across Italy.
Together, we cover both sides of the move:
– the legal pathway
– and how it actually works in practice
For those looking at relocating to Puglia, understanding how the process works from the outset makes all the difference.
Read more about our story here.
Thinking about living in Puglia?
Puglia offers a very different pace of life to cities like Milan, Rome or Florence.
It’s slower, more local, but that doesn’t mean it’s simple.
In reality:
– processes can be less structured
– timelines can be less predictable
– and things often rely on local relationships
That’s where understanding how things actually work on the ground becomes essential.
Moving to Puglia: what to expect
Moving to Puglia is less about navigating a system and more about understanding how things are done locally.
Things don’t always follow a fixed process — and often depend on who you’re speaking to, where you are, and how things are approached in that moment.
– fewer formal systems, but more reliance on local knowledge
– rental processes that vary significantly between towns
– communication often happening in Italian, and sometimes informally
– timelines that can shift depending on context rather than set rules
Where we come in
This is usually the point where things either move forward — or start to stall. Most people don’t need more information — they need help making sense of it.
Most people I work with are trying to figure out:
– what visa or citizenship pathway applies
– whether Puglia is the right fit and which area to consider
– how to approach the rental market
– what needs to happen first

Considering a Scouting Trip first?
We can coordinate this for you across Italy, working with our travel partner to ensure you spend your time well:
with the right people, in the right places.
In Puglia, spending time here before deciding can be incredibly valuable — not just to see the area, but to understand how it actually feels to live here.
We can help you approach that time with more context — from where to base yourself, to who to speak to, to what to pay attention to while you’re here.
How we work together
Most people begin with a personalised Clarity Call.
We look at:
– your specific situation
– your timeline
– your legal pathway (with Valentina involved where needed)
– and your next steps
From there, I support you through the process — from planning through to settling in. This is not general advice. Everything is tailored to you.
Why work with me?
Relocating to Puglia isn’t just about following steps, it’s about understanding how things actually come together locally.
What I focus on is helping you make sense of that.
So you’re not:
– relying on incomplete or conflicting information
– navigating things in isolation
– or feeling like you’re constantly adjusting as you go

Because we’re based in Salento, we provide direct, on-the-ground support across this region, alongside trusted local contacts who assist with:

This means you’re supported both remotely and locally — without needing to manage multiple providers yourself.
Start with a Clarity Call
If you’re considering moving to Puglia, the first step is to understand how it would actually work for you.
The Clarity Call is a personalised session — not general advice.
It’s designed around your specific situation, giving you a clear understanding of:
– your legal pathway (citizenship or visa)
– timing and sequencing
– whether Puglia makes sense for your move
– and what to do next
Where needed, I’ll involve Valentina to ensure the legal side is approached correctly from the outset.
The €35 cost of this call is fully redeemable against a legal consultation.
Most people wait longer than they need to simply because they don’t have clarity.
